ANSWER: B: Social psychology focuses on the processes that people have in common with on another that make them susceptible to social influence, whereas personality psychology focuses on individual differences. (Aronson, Wilson, Akert, 2010) When we are discussing social psychology and personality psychology it is important to understand the differences between the two. One deals with a society as a whole and the other deals with the individual’s individual traits. It is important to note that these two can operate independently or be self-serving in nature. Social psychology is the scientific process of studying a group of people’s behaviors, thoughts, and feelings that are true and identifiable or imagined within social context (McLeod, 2007). When we use the three terms mentioned we are using words that are psychological variables that can be measured within an individual. When we discuss identifiable or imagined we do so because socially we can be influenced by society or other outlets like television or radio.
